You're Invited to Judge!

Why Judge History Day? from Minnesota Historical Society on Vimeo.

Serving as a judge for one of our regional contests or at our state contest is a wonderful way to become involved with the New York State History Day program. Your work as a judge has a direct impact on our students who seek thoughtful, helpful feedback on their projects that will serve them whether or not they move on to the next tier of the contest.

If you'd like to become a judge for one of our regional contests, visit our Regional Contests page, find the region you'd like to judge for, and follow the corresponding link to register.

To register for the state contest, go to ny.nhd.org. Click "Create Account," then "Judge." Be sure to jot down your username and password, as you'll need these to access your account in April. You will need to be available all day on April 24, 2023.

Please ensure the email you use is able to receive communications from us! We will send reminders about the contest and judge training. If you're not sure, shoot us an email at nyshd@nhd.org and we will verify for you. In the meantime, please help yourselves to these fantastic judge training materials created by our friends at Minnesota History Day!
