Buffalo Teacher Center NHD Course
CTLE Hours Offered for Non-BPS Educators in NYS​

Wednesday's September 24, October 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 6-7pm 
This course will prepare teachers to participate in the BPS's annual History Day Competition in February. Teachers will become familiar with the two distinct levels of competition within the NHD Program: Junior Level (grades 6-8) and Senior Level (grades 9-12). Teachers will also examine, create and evaluate entries in the five categories: Exhibit, Website, Documentary, Historical Paper & Performance. Participants will examine sample NHD projects from the local, state and national level to witness growth within the research process. Participants will examine the 2022 NHD Rule Book, 2026 Annual Theme Sheet, 2026 Sample Topics List and NHD Judges Rubric.
